Worthwhile projects The Georgia State Fair opens next Monday in Macon, and is a wonderful, wholesome, family event. The Macon Exchange Club members work very hard to provide a quality event for the citizens of Macon and surrounding areas. And, just as important, the dollars that are raised at the fair are used to support worthwhile projects and non-profit organizations right here in our area. Money raised at the fair has helped Big Brothers Big Sisters over the years. This support is critical not only to Big Brothers /Big Sisters, but to other agencies here that are helping children, the elderly and families. Thank you, Exchange Club members, for working so hard and at the same time giving us such quality entertainment for 150 years.
