The recent column about Macon's upcoming attempt to break the record for world's largest kazoo band brought a suggestion from Nancy Petrich, of Warner Robins. She said I should have mentioned the Macon Music's mascot is named "Kazoo." Maybe we can get him/her/it there to help break the record on Sept. 27 at the Georgia State Fair.

So far, a lot of interest has been generated for this event from schools, churches, senior groups and other organizations. Keep it up! And just so there is no confusion, it is open to everyone. You don't have to be a resident of Macon to participate. ...
