Pig Out at the Park 2002
The 2002 Georgia STATE FAIR held a Memphis-in-May Sanctioned Barbeque Cookoff and Championship September 27-28. Friday was the Cookoff and Saturday we held the Championship Judging. (See photos below ). See Results below . We had 14 teams competing in the three categories and all camped overnight...filling the park with the wonderful smells of barbeque smoke. We had Teams and judges from all over the southeast, one team came from Lafayette, Louisiana! We had some FANTASTIC barbeque! The event was sponsored by WGMT Channel-41.
