Our net income from the 146th Georgia State Fair totaled $ 62,988.00. Half of this money will go to the club’s charity fund. The city's 25% portion of $ 15,747.00 goes for use of Central City Park. The remainder goes into operating expenses for the 2002 Fair scheduled for September 23-29.
Macon Mayor C. Jack Ellis accepts check for $15,747, the City's share of the 2001 Fair profits at the Feb. 7th Exchange Club meeting.
